Reggie the Brindle
I Found My Forever Home!
Reggie is a very sweet, smart and affectionate 2 to 3 year old brindle mix that was abandoned in junk filled backyard property in Compton. He had been living with another dog but its whereabouts are unknown. Some neighbors heard and found Reggie and kept him fed until he was rescued recently.
Coming with us very easily, Reggie still retained his warm and gentle spirit and was clearly thrilled to leave that part of his life behind. After a thorough vet check and neuter he has been living with one of our fosters and his 6 year old female staffy mix, relaxing for the past few weeks. He must have had some house training because he has been the perfect house guest. He is very respectful of his 4 legged sibling, completely house trained, sleeps in his bed during the day near his sibling, and prefers his crate at night, door open or closed. With each day more of his personality is shining in his eyes. Eager to please, Reggie is easy on a leash and quickly learning house (come, sit, stay, down, leave it, off, etc.) and leash manners, (heel, heel/sit, etc.) with light easy corrections. Interacts well quickly with dogs his size, smaller dogs will likely need proper introductions and guidance. No knowledge or experience with him and cats.
With people Reggie is a star. The staffs at our veterinarians and board facilities have fallen very quickly for his warm greetings and snuggles. He’s perfectly happy lounging in your lap soaking up and giving as much attention and affection as he gives. We think he has the demeanor, patience and intelligence to be a great therapy dog, and we’re confident he would be a great addition to any family fortunate enough to have him.
