Max is an approximately 14 month old American Staffordshire Terrier Mix. He is a stunningly gorgeous boy (nickname “Brad Pitbull”) with a honey colored short coat which matches his eyes exactly. He was malnourished when he was rescued, but now is in perfect health and weighs 63 lbs.
Max takes long walks each morning and does well on his leash. He loves hanging out with adults and older kids. Being that he is still a big puppy with lots of energy, he spends most of his time chewing his chew toys, playing tug or catch with his foster family and running around in the yard.
He has been in clicker training and knows the sit, look at me, drop it, and leave it commands. His foster mom is working daily on improving his distraction and pulling while leash walking. Max is intelligent, learns quickly and wants to please his trainer.
Max is dog friendly and loves attending doggie daycare. He currently plays and lounges with his 12 year old, 8 lb Chihuahua foster sister. He would do best in a home with a dog closer in size and age.
Max likes snuggle time with his foster mom or dad after a day of playing and then puts himself to bed when he is ready to go down for the night.
During the workday, he hangs out with his foster dad in his office or suns himself in the yard. Max does well in his crate for up to 2-3 hours at a time when his foster family needs to be away from the house.
Max is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all shots. Come meet him or take a walk together!
