Meet Luna- Rescued as a pup from a high kill shelter.
As written by her Papa. He has to rehome her due to a work move.
She is 2 years & 8 months old. I rescued her from the Lawrence Humane Society in Lawrence, Kansas, where I recently graduated from college. Luna’s parents were unknown, but she is easily recognizable as a “pit-type” breed.
We’re almost certain she’s a Staffordshire Terrier mix. She weighs 60 lbs, is spayed, micro chipped, and up to date on all shots. She is house-trained and also crate trained.
She’s definitely an “only child”, so that is important to note. Not aggressive with other dogs, just wasn’t socialized enough, so she gets overly excited to meet them.
She does resource-guarding, and can’t share toys. However, Luna is AMAZING with people & kids.
She’s a very active dog, so she needs daily fetch/running at the park. I use the bark collar when she’s off-leash at the park away from other dogs. I use the remote to beep, vibrate, shock if she’s not coming back. She’s highly food-motivated but doesn’t beg around the table. After running to get her energy levels down, she enjoys snuggling and napping.
