I Found My Forever Home!
Ginger: This sweet young Shepherd Mix is already a staff favorite. Strangers even approach her as she is gorgeous, sweet, affectionate, silly and playful.
Ginger was on the list to be euthanized at a high kill shelter in the high desert. Luckily we received a 911 call to free her as she had only a day left.
She was found as a stray and brought into the shelter where she remained in a small cage for months. Whenever she would see people she approached the gate and would stick out her paw. She loves people. She loves to go on walks, but she does not yet know the concept of the leash so a little training will be needed. She loves to play with toys and loves to chase lizards in the high grass. Ginger did super in the car ride on the way down to Orange County. She is always smiling and her past is exactly that, the past.
She would do great with an active person or family. We have not temperament tested her with other dogs, but when she sees them, she does not lunge or act aggressively.
Ginger is just over one year old, she is spayed, up to date on her shots and weighs approximately 35- 40 pounds. She will need some basic training to teach her the ropes, but she is a sweet girl.
