Meet Athena the Boxer Mix.

Athena was found with her buddy the Blue Nose American Staffie named Zeus.

Athena is a gorgeous Boxer-Labrador Mix. She was spotted living on the streets  of Los Angeles with a homeless person.  Unfortunately he abandoned the dogs and left them wandering about without food, shelter or protection.  A good Samaritan took them in temporarily until she found Doggie Bonez.   Athena is with us now in boarding.

Athena is a smart, loving and great girl. She is a happy dog who seems appreciative of her new life. She likes to be loved on, and in return gives lots of kisses.  She is super affectionate and loves to give hugs.  Athena is great on a leash. She loves to take walks with Zeus and we have had her around some of our other dogs up for adoption and she is non-reactive. In fact she does this interesting behavior of resting her entire jaw onto of the other dog.
Athena was fine around children and is a loving and affectionate pup.
She is also very smart and picks up new commands quickly.

Athena has  endured a lot of neglect but continues to show love and greets every new face with a wag of her tail and big hug.
