Adele was rescued from a high kill shelter by a very good Samaritan who wanted to make sure this pup was saved from euthanasia.
When Adele first arrived home, everything was new. She had evidence of severe neglect and abuse as any loud noise will cause her to jump right out of her skin or cower if she sees a hand go up.
Adele is now becoming more comfortable in her new surroundings. She is learning how to walk on a leash, meet new people without being fearful and most of all learning to accept love. She loves being near people and prefers humans over other animals. She is affectionate and will cuddle up next to you on the couch.
She does not know quite how to play with toys yet and doesn’t understand how to interact with other dogs and is indifferent to meeting new dogs. She loves plush toys, but does tend to chew them to pieces. She also feels very safe in her crate and will go there when she is feeling insecure. She is not a flight risk and does not try to escape or run away. Adele is a sweet and loving pup who has had a hard life. She is smart and affectionate and is loving her new life.
