Lucky is a one-year-old Lab and Staffordshire Terrier Mix. He is a medium sized boy weighing about 55 pounds.
Lucky is an energetic happy go lucky boy. His perfect day is going out for a long walk or jog, exploring the neighborhood, playing tug o’ war with a toy, and then back to the house for a treat and nap. Lucky has had a hard go of it for his first year of life. He was found as a stray and it looked like he was attacked while out on the streets due to the nature of some wounds that were found on his paw and body. He has since healed from these wounds but is still stuck in a kennel for the large part of the day.
Our volunteers love this boy. He is incredibly smart learning and following commands easily. After 10 minutes out of his kennel to stretch his legs, he is less anxious and walks on the leash without any difficulty.
Lucky would be great for an active family with children over 10-12 or an active individual or couple. He just wants to please and be with someone who can love him and give him the activity he needs.
Lucky is being boarded at a kennel with lots of other dogs, and we would love to find a foster family or forever home. This environment can be stressful and Lucky is handling it like a champ.
He is a sweet-natured, active, energetic, listens well. He needs a bit of obedience training to teach manners. He is a quick learner though.
Our adoption process is quite simple. Please fill out an adoption application on our website in the form section. Once we receive this, you can meet Lucky to see how much of a charmer he is. If it is a match, we ask for a donation of any kind, to pay it forward to the next pup.
