We found Duke at the San Bernardino Animal Shelter on a recent visit. He had been sitting in his cold kennel since November 2017. What is his story? He was an owner surrender. That means during Thanksgiving time, he was given up to the shelter. This boy turns out is trained, playful, sweet, energetic, athletic, and oh so smart.
He is an American Bulldog, Staffordshire Terrier Mix. He weighs about 55-60 pounds. His body is a dark brindle color, yet his head is black and white.
This boy can play with the ball for hours. He fetches, retrieves and drops the ball right back at your feet. He also knows basic commands, but he has been in the shelter, so like all of our pups, he can always use a training session or two.
He has since been neutered upon arrival, vetted, and caught up to date on all of his shots.
We love this kid. He will make a great family addition. He would do best with an active family with older kids (10 yrs and up) or someone with an active lifestyle.
This is not the dog that you can crate for hours, he will do great with a backyard.
We have not yet temperament tested him with other pups, but he has been around other dogs and does not show any aggression.
Let us know if you would like to meet this boy. Please visit our Form Section on our website: www.doggiebonez.com We are also looking for a foster for him.
Adoption Process: Please fill out an application, once approved, we are donation based so we ask for what you can afford to pay it forward to the next pup. Thank you.
